First Home ClubDo you need down payment assistance as a first time home buyer? We can help.

CFCU, in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, is pleased to offer down payment and closing cost assistance to qualified first time home buyers.


The First Home Club provides four dollars ($4.00) in matching funds for each dollar ($1.00) saved in a dedicated savings account, up to a maximum of $7,500.00 in assistance toward the purchase of a home. Qualified program participants make consecutive monthly deposits over a period of 10 to 24 months, prior to the purchase of a home.


To be eligible for the program, you must:

  • Be a first time home buyer.
  • Meet income guidelines.
  • Complete an approved and accredited home ownership course.
  • Agree to save on a monthly basis, a portion of income in a dedicated account over a specified period of time, without withdrawals.
